Pokemon Review: Forretress

After 5th gen was released, Forretress saw a fairly big usage drop... though not enough to make it fall to a lower tier.
This is partly due to Ferrothorn, which is now used quite a bit more.
Both Forretress and Ferrothorn have some good abilities -- Forretress with Sturdy which prevents 1-Hit KOs & Ferrothorn with Iron Barbs which does 12.5% damage when the opponent makes contact.
The main advantage of Forretress is being able to pull off toxic spikes really well, which can be usefull at times.
Another advantage of Forretress is rapid spin, which gets rid of entry hazards when used.
I would also recommend taking Smogon's advice of using Gyro Ball, Volt Switch or Earthquake on Forretress.
Having a x4 Fire weakness is definitely not a good thing, though! (Then again, Ferrothorn has that too)
Overall, Forretress is a solid Pokemon and I would definitely recommend having one on your competititve team if your looking for a Spiker/Toxic Spiker! :]
